Kristy Laing, DPT, CSCS
After being a competitive gymnast for seventeen years, Kristy graduated from Ithaca College in upstate New York in 2005 with a doctorate in Physical Therapy. She began her career by joining the CompletePT staff in January, 2006 and was appointed one of CPT's Assistant Clinical Directors in 2007. She is CompletePT's Director of Training/Internships and is contracted with three Southern California schools to provide high level training for our future physical therapists. Kristy has taken a special interest in injury prevention and has been trained in the Y Balance as well as the Selective Functional Movement Assessment. In 2011, Kristy became CompletePT's Clincial Director.
Ashley White, DPT
Ashley graduated from West Chester University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Exercise Science, then a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University. She has an extensive background in competitive sports including gymnastics, field hockey, track, and soccer. She joined CompletePT in early 2009, and in 2011 she became the Clinical Director of CPT's clinic inside the Saban Center for Health and Wellness on the Motion Picture & Television Fund campus in Woodland Hills. Ashley has furthered her training with courses on skilled, hands-on techniques taught by some of the world's leading practitioners plus top-level training on lower body biomechanics, gait, and spinal and pelvis joint dysfunction.
Lindsay Fujinaka, DPT
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Lindsay has planted her roots in the Los Angeles area. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2007, receiving a Bachelors in Natural Science, then graduated from the University of Southern California in 2010, receiving a Doctor of Physical Therapy. In pursuing her desire to improve her clinical reasoning, manual skills, and movement analysis, she completed the Kaiser Orthopedic Residency in 2011. Her treatment approach with patients is education, prevention, and collaboration where together both the patient and the therapist work toward achieving the patient's goals. Lindsay joined the CompletePT team in 2010, and became the Assistant Clinical Director in 2012.
Trisha Fe Marie Sanchez, DPT
Trisha received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, MO in 2011, and joined the CompletePT team shortly after. Her clinical internships had an extensive variety including outpatient orthopedics on an Indian reservation, hand and upper extremity injuries, athletes, neurological patients, women's health, geriatrics, and pediatrics. She uses a combination of manual techniques and education with her patients and corrects movement patterns that are associated with functional and fitness activities. Trisha is CompletePT's pediatric specialist.
Doug Harden, PTA
Born in Florida and a graduate of Penn State University's Physical Therapy Assistant program, Doug has worked as a Licensed PTA for over 15 years in Pennsylvania, Florida, and California. His continuing education background includes orthopedics, sports medicine, personal training and balance training. Doug was an accomplished college athlete in soccer and baseball, has over thirty years of experience in golf. A six-year naval reserve veteran, Doug joined the CompletePT team in 2007.
Jessica Bufete, DPT
Jessica grew up on a dairy in California's Central Valley. She graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Interdisciplinary Health and Rehab Sciences as a Smittcamp Honors Scholar at Fresno State University. She also received her Masters degree from Fresno State. Jessica completed her doctorate in physical therapy from UC San Francisco and Fresno State in 2011. As a graduate student, Jessica researched the effects of dual-tasking and directional change on gait in people with Parkinson's Disease. Prior to joining Complete PT in 2011, she worked at both in-patient rehabilitation and outpatient orthopedic settings. She enjoys developing relationships with her patients and creating a "small-town" feel in the big city of Los Angeles.
Nicole Tetreault, DPT
Nicole graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has completed professional courses in running injuries, "hands on" manual therapy for knee osteoarthritis as well as mobilization & therapeutic exercise for hip injuries. Prior to joining the CompletePT team, her clinical rotations included aquatic therapy, orthopedics, neurology, and cardiopulmonary. Nicole has a 10 year competitive background in swimming and open water races including swim relays to Catalina Island. Her professional focus is applying research proven treatments and incorporating strength gains into functional movement that pertains to everyday life.
Shannon Chiongbian, PT
Shannon Matthew Chiongbian was born and raised in the Philippines. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy in 2002 and migrated to the US in 2003. He has over 7 years of experience as a Physical Therapist working with geriatric, orthopedic and neurologic patients in various in-patient rehabilitation settings. Shannon is currently working on his Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy and is pursuing his interest in the orthopedic outpatient setting. He joined the CompletePT Team in 2011. He enjoys surfing, scuba diving, golf and playing music.
Maggie Jackson, DPT
Maggie graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and went on to get her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Georgia State University. She is a member of the APTA's Orthopaedic Section and of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. Her interests include rehabilitation for athletes, movement dysfunction, and wellness and prevention of injury throughout the lifespan. Outside of the office Maggie enjoys sports of any kind. She often travels to play Ultimate Frisbee, which has taken her as far as Perth, Australia in 2006 to compete in the World Club Ultimate Frisbee Championships.
Virginia Gamble, MSPT
Virginia Gamble graduated with distinction from California State University Northridge in 2010 with her Masters in Physical Therapy. Her clinical internships focused primarily on rehabilitation in the outpatient orthopedic setting. For her final dissertation, Virginia conducted in-depth research on the most effective physical therapy techniques for a total knee arthroplasty. She joined the CompletePT team as a physical therapist in 2010, happy to implement her new knowledge and skills.
Jeff Calso, DPT
Born and raised in Northern California, Jeff moved to Los Angeles and received his undergraduate degree in Physiology at UCLA. He received his doctorate in physical therapy from New York Medical College in May 2009. Throughout his physical therapy program, Jeff completed clinical rotations in a variety of rehab settings including acute care, acute rehab, and orthopedics. His main interests lie in orthopedic rehabilitation and in applying a combination of manual and exercise-based treatments for his patients.
